AR Buddy
AR Buddy is a collection agency that works only with radio stations. It recovers the past-due advertiser invoices your team has given up on, without burning the advertiser relationship.

How it works
- Place your accounts. One at a time or a whole spreadsheet, with a minimum balance of $250. Every account appears in the portal the moment it lands.
- AR Buddy works them. A validation notice goes first, then a documented, professional contact sequence. Every letter and call is on an audit trail you can read.
- You get paid. Recoveries settle into a segregated client-trust account and are remitted to you twice a month, with a statement that reconciles to the penny.
What it costs
AR Buddy publishes one flat fee: $295 per invoice it collects, added on top of your invoice and paid by the debtor, where your advertising terms authorise collection costs. Most station terms do, and AR Buddy confirms this when you place an account.
- You get 100% of your invoice.
- Nothing is paid upfront, and there is no fee on accounts that are not recovered.
- On a partial recovery, every dollar goes to you first. The fee is earned only after you have been made whole.
- The age of the debt does not change the fee, but older debt recovers less, so it pays to place early.
Figures on this page are as published on the AR Buddy site, which is the authority if they ever differ.
Why a radio specialist
A generic collector cannot tell a make-good from a stall, and that one blind spot costs a station both the money and the advertiser.
- Disputes go back to you. Proof of performance is captured up front, and genuine disputes are routed back to the station within one business day rather than pushed through.
- Agency and co-op liability. When an advertiser says they paid their agency, or that co-op covers it, AR Buddy works out who is actually liable and collects from the right party.
- Your seller stays the good guy. AR Buddy collects under its own name, not yours.
- Business debts only. AR Buddy works business-to-business advertiser receivables and does not collect consumer debt.
Tracking recoveries
Every placement, notice, dispute and remittance is visible in the portal as it happens, including placed and recovered totals and twice-monthly remittance statements.
From inside Radio Workflow
Stations on Radio Workflow do not need to export anything. Once a manager turns the service on in Radio Workflow's invoicing settings:
- Send to Collections appears on an eligible past-due invoice, on the A/R dashboard and on the Balances page. Sending places the account's past-due invoices together as one bundle.
- Turning the service on never sends anything by itself. Sending is a manual action unless you also opt in to a daily automated sweep for the media outlets you choose.
- Accounts you never want placed, such as key partners or disputed balances, can be excluded one by one.
- Placed and recovered totals show on the A/R dashboard as AR Buddy reports progress, and each placed invoice carries a collection status badge.
The full steps are in Radio Workflow's own help centre, under AR Buddy Collections.
Getting started
Request a free recoverability review on the AR Buddy site. Tell AR Buddy roughly what is sitting in your aging report and it comes back within one business day with a read on what is recoverable, with no obligation.
For developers
Station groups and billing software can place accounts and pull recovery status over the REST API. Everything in the portal is available through it. See Building on our products.
