How we build

Workflow Corporation runs on four principles. They are stated on the About page. This page is about what they mean for you as a customer of any of our products.

We use it first

Nothing goes on sale before it is doing real work for us. Meet Buddy takes Radio Workflow's demo bookings and answers the chat on radioworkflow.com, which you can go and see for yourself.

What it means for you: a product reaches you after it has already been carrying our own work, so the rough edges we would hit every day have mostly been hit already.

We own the engine

Where a product depends on something hard, we build and run it ourselves instead of reselling another company's service with a margin on top.

What it means for you:

  • Prices and limits are ours to set. Voice Buddy's prices and rate limits are not a supplier's to change underneath you.
  • Nobody takes a cut per render. A cloned voice in Voice Buddy is usable the moment it uploads, and Jingle Buddy prices by the second of audio rather than by the song.
  • Failures are ours to absorb. Voice Buddy refunds the quota of a render that fails, and a mispronounced word you flag and correct does not count against you.
  • Engines sleep when idle. Running our own engines means a quiet engine is switched off rather than kept warm at your expense. The first Jingle Buddy render after a quiet spell can take 30 to 90 seconds to start, and the screen says so.

One problem, one product

When something we built inside one platform turns out to solve a problem that has nothing to do with that platform, it leaves and becomes its own product, with its own price, its own roadmap and its own customers.

What it means for you: you buy the one thing you need. Most products have their own account and plans, and none requires another, except Signal, the Affiliate Portal, Talent Buddy and Compliance, which work from Radio Workflow. See Accounts, sign-in and billing.

RevBuddy uses Voice Buddy to produce audio on eligible plans, but manages that account itself. A station buys RevBuddy without needing a separate Voice Buddy subscription or a Radio Workflow account.

Only what we can show

We do not publish a number we cannot point at the source of.

What it means for you: the figures in these pages come from the products' own published sites, and every product page links to its site so you can check them. Product pages also say what each product will not do, where that is published: Jingle Buddy will not clone a singer or render shorter than ten seconds, and Voice Buddy does not offer laugh or sigh tags because they did not work when measured. If you find a claim here with no source behind it, treat it as a mistake and tell us.
